CONCORD COUNTRY CLUB   /   CONCORD, MA

Golf Course Superintendent   /   2010–Present

 

Responsible for daily manicuring while striving to provide championship quality conditions to a Donald Ross designed 18-hole golf course, driving range and practice facility, club grounds, 8 Har-tru courts, and pool facilities; encompassing over 200 acres of property.

– Development of the million dollars-plus operational and yearly capital budgets.

– Hire, train, schedule and supervise staff of 25 laborers and 3 student interns.

– Developed internship and assistant-in-training program to obtain highly-skilled staff.

– Communicate with General Manager, Golf Professional, and key Board Members daily.

– Implement and provide communication tools to improve membership awareness and understanding of operation.

– Integral member of a team to design, permit, and construct a $2.5M Grounds and Environmental Management Center.

– Oversaw complete golf course bunker renovation project and new practice facility/chipping area construction.

– Introduced Audubon International program to Concord; attained Certification in 2015.

WESTCHESTER COUNTRY CLUB   /   RYE, NY

Assistant Superintendent   /   2005-2010

 

Performed an active role in management of the two Walter Travis designed golf courses, par 3 executive, driving range and practice facility, 5 bentgrass tennis courts, 15 Har-tru tennis courts, and beach club; encompassing 450 acres of property.

 

- Schedule and supervise 40 union laborers and 8 student interns.

- Aided in the implementation of the ‘XGD’ greens drainage system on both golf courses.

- Planned and prepared for the 2005-2007 ‘The Barclays’ in accordance with PGA officials.

 

 

 

 

OAKLAND HILLS COUNTRY CLUB   /  BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI

Assistant Superintendent   /   2002-2005

 

Performed an active role in the daily manicuring of the two Donald Ross designed golf courses and in preparation for the

2002 U.S. Amateur Championship and the 35th Ryder Cup matches in 2004.

 

- Participated in providing championship conditions on a daily basis through sound agronomic practices; highlights

  include minimal fertilizer applications, prudent watering, light and frequent topdressing of greens, tees, and fairways;

  aerification (core, deep tine, and high pressure water injection) of greens, tees, and fairways.

- Contributed to the course renovations for the 2004 Ryder Cup, including tee construction, drainage, tree relocation,
  and other course improvements.
